Make sure you snatch up the local watermelons before they are gone. This fruit is super hydrating. Plus it is delicious. Eat it by itself to avoid any food combination mistakes. Great for the kidneys!

KNOWLEDGE BOMBS
The true Mediterranean Diet utilized pork lard as the main fat since olive oil would have been rare & unavailable to much of the population.
High cortisol can activate sodium retention. Cortisol forces blood glucose to rise which, in turn, forces sodium reabsorption at the kidney. This is also why my keto peeps need to increase their salt intake.
Emu Oil is especially high in Vitamin K2 - the MK4 variety. This essential nutrient helps regulate calcium & insulin.

Fwd: THJCA Needs Your Help for This Summer's Free Youth Enrichment Programs
Greetings!
I hope this email finds you well.
The Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association needs your help!
THJCA is a resident-founded and led, grassroots, nonprofit organization with a powerful mission to connect youth and families to...
THJCA provides holistic, inclusive, and wraparound services for students and their families, with a goal to ensure the growth and development of well-rounded, civic-minded youth that will become the next generation of community leaders and successful adults who are prepared to serve their local communities.
This complete dedication has created tangible community change, especially within the disadvantaged communities THJCA works within. However, THJCA currently needs help from our surrounding Tampa Bay area partners, supporters, and friends.
But, you don't have to keep hearing it from us, use this link to watch a video the kids just made in May 2023 about why they love THJCA!
We are always looking for passionate supporters who want to be involved with programs and our students by volunteering, teaching, or helping the students with their community projects.
For examples of this, check out last year's photobook of our award-winning, partnership program with the Hillsborough County Planning Commission "FLiP Jr" which we will be expanding with an even more robust, dedicated, and community-driven/centered curriculum.
Please use the form links below (or scan the QR codes on the attached flyers) if you are interested in being involved in some capacity or you send an email to fatimaelkott@thjca.org if you want to chat or have any questions.

We are also starting a dedicated giving campaign in honor of Juneteenth to fund additional (and much needed!) teachers for this summer's programs. We will be having multiple community events that will showcase some incredible artists through cultural performances, local vendors, and great vibes! (See the end of the email for more details).
Your contribution would go a long way in helping us to continue the necessary work we do!
Please use this form to find out more about all the different ways you can donate or sponsor THJCA.
Make sure to check out our website, Facebook, and Instagram (@thjca) to stay in touch about upcoming community events, opportunities, and fun content 🙂
