Revenge, abuse & self hatred

Revenge, abuse & self hatred.

This purification track deletes the frequency of the abuser in your own life. Be prepared to lose those you might love, needing to separate from them. Finally let go of the part of you which sees and knows abuse but does nothing decisive about it. Act wholeheartedly out of the purity of your own source connection, finally letting go of fear; the inability to remain in your body; and biochemical imbalance particularly in relation to hormones, addictions, food disorders and weight problems.

Abuse is any type of behaviour which has the need to consume another's life force because there is an absence of source connection. This can occur by default because the party involved actually has no biological pathway for the embodiment of pure love. Or someone has the wiring for pure love, but they have become so disconnected, they need to power themselves through others.

Either case results in the ongoing and regular need to control and subjugate one's attempted food source with no accountability. Sanctions will be imposed if someone does not conform - from which there is no way back. Intimacy is lost and the bond of affection shattered. On one side, the abused does not wish to open themselves to further takeover and the potential for possession. On the other, the abuser's heart hardens, polarising the personality into an unreachable dynamic of beauty and rage built on merely self hatred.

This is in stark contrast with so-called negative emotions which, just like positive emotions, arise and fall out of love. Here there is never guilt, spite, lack of self worth or the need for revenge and punishment, even if someone has acted badly. The major difference between anger which is love and anger which is abuse is taking responsibility. When someone genuinely hurts another, however accidentally, they will care and instantly self reflect, setting out to physically change.

Fwd: Radical Realism

Subject: Radical Realism
Date: January 1, 2022 at 6:00:50 PM EST

Dear E. Rafael,

As we enter the new year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on 2021 and to set the intention for 2022. But above all, I would like to thank you and the entire Presencing Institute community for your contributions to all that we have created and seeded at this moment of planetary emergency and social transformation.

What did we learn in 2021? Three things stand out for me.

Humility. Whatever we thought or predicted would happen in 2021 probably changed multiple times over the course of the year. Starting with the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, the accelerated impact of climate change, not to mention Delta and Omicron, time and again we saw that reality keeps changing around us. Our established concepts and ways of knowing need to soften and make way for what Prof. Edgar Schein calls "humble inquiry."

Reflexivity. Reflecting on how societies respond to these challenges has made me aware how often we look for the source of the problems we face outside of ourselves rather than inside— inside our own country's boundaries or inside ourselves. This outdated view exists in all cultures, but is especially apparent in the US, where I live. Twenty years ago, in 2001, the terrorist attacks of 9/11 presented an opportunity to look at ourselves in the mirror. Today, 20 years since the "war on terror" was launched, and 8 trillion dollars later, we realize that the enemy we were fighting was in fact much closer to home.

Which takes us to January 6, 2021. Again, we see a superpower armed to the teeth against perceived threats from outside, yet utterly helpless against the domestic terror of white supremacy (i.e., threats originating from within).

We live in a moment of "reflexive modernity," which Ulrich Beck defined as the increased backfiring of our own past actions onto our current conditions. It's a moment also known as the Anthropocene, the age of humans. In the Anthropocene, most of our planet's major problems are caused by human beings. As long as we refuse to see ourselves in the mirror, pain and suffering will continue to increase.

But if we look honestly at our reflection in the mirror, then we can begin to bend our perspective from a silo to a systems view, from a mindset operating with egosystem awareness to one that operates with ecosystem awareness. When that happens, we can change course as a collective, as a whole system. We can be in service of radical regeneration through bridging the ecological, social, and spiritual divides.

The Presencing Institute was founded 15 years ago with a single purpose in mind: to develop and democratize access to the methods, tools, and practice fields that help institutions, systems, and communities to transform themselves from ego to eco ways of operating. Which brings me to the third learning experience of 2021.

Action Confidence. Hope and action confidence are largely missing from our contemporary culture. We live in a culture that has a strong undercurrent of depression, anxiety, and fear. So where do hope and action confidence come from? They originate from within. To access them, we need to shift the inner place from which we operate.

Hope is not to be confused with delusional optimism. Hope and action confidence are grounded in radical realism: a realism that is not only in touch with what currently is, but also in touch with a field of possibility that needs us to manifest. In short: Action confidence is an "inside job" that requires us to tap into our highest (future) Selves.

Humility. Reflexivity. Action Confidence. What does this triad call on us to do? It calls on us to cultivate our interior condition to shift the locus of cognition, listening, and action from inside ourselves (ego) to outside ourselves (eco). Shifting the locus of cognition is the essence of Open Mind; shifting the locus of listening is the essence of Open Heart; and shifting the locus of action is the essence of Open Will.

We know that this profound transformation of our civilization is not going to be easy. It's not going to happen overnight. And it will require all of us to show up with our best Selves, time and again. But for the first time in my life, I feel that it's actually within reach. It's why we are here. And all these transformations, large and small, are already being seeded and prototyped around the world.

Where? Here is a link that offers a glimpse of some of these positive transformations. Check it out: Annual Report

How will the radical regeneration of our key civilizational institutions happen? Not by delegating it to Big Money, Big Tech, or Big Gov. If it's going to work, it will be sparked by a movement that works from EVERYWHERE: bottom-up, top-down, middle-out, and outside-in, in countless cross-sector and cross-systems initiatives. These seeds start small, then they take roots, grow, interconnect, and finally they learn to collaborate at scale in order to shift how the larger ecosystems operate. Presently that movement is still in its infancy. To realize its full potential, it needs a top-notch support structure: a school for transformation.

Over the next couple of years, 2022-2023, we have the unique opportunity to prototype such a support structure by synthesizing everything that we have learned to make it relevant to that emerging movement and to the decade(s) of transformation ahead. Our vision and intention is to integrate and extend the methods, tools, practices, and pathways that we have developed in a new platform and ecosystem tentatively called u.school for transformation

If you want to be part of this collective effort, check out our site and our peer-reviewed journal. You can support these activities by paying it forward here. The most significant years of this decade and century are beginning now.

With profound appreciation for what we as a community can presence and cultivate,

Yours sincerely,
Otto

"We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives ... not looking for flaws but for potential." ~ Ellen Goodman

"No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow." ~Proverb

Dear systems thinkers,

New years are magical: everything seems possible, hopes for the world are renewed, we resolve to start new projects shake the dust from abandoned ones; we also reflect on what the ending year meant  to us: we offer gratitude for the good things in our lives, may honour our pain for the people and things we lost and recharge our connection to ourselves, each other and the world by taking a systemic view and revisit the old good questions:
  • How did the world as we know emerge?
  • What is life?
  • Who are we?
  • What is emerging?
  • How should we live our lives so they reflect those answers?
As we may meet with family or friends, in person or virtually and remember to stay safe, what are the resolutions for this new round around the sun?

Maybe it is to buy less and share more?
Maybe is to walk more and sit less?
Maybe is to eat healthier, local, and seasonal whole foods?
Maybe is to learn more about systems and the possible changes and solutions?
Maybe is to give more and express more gratitude for the amazing world we have?

Here at the Capra Course, we are resolved to continue offering quality lectures, materials, and support and to help you connect with like-minded individuals and groups.

Wishing you a 2022 full of gratitude, creativity, community, and connection

Fwd: MEMO: Sunrise 2.0

Sunrise Movement Logo

SUNRISE 2.0 MEMO

Why do we need Sunrise 2.0?

The Sunrise Movement has achieved things in our first five years that were supposed to be impossible. In the next ten years, we're gonna need to achieve more supposedly "impossible" things — because everything we love depends on it.

As 2021 comes to a close, we've won more for climate justice than has ever been won in the United States. From organizing hundreds of miles long marches to hunger strikes and mass mobilizations across the country, young people are leading us into an even fiercer era of the fight for the Green New Deal.

But we're painfully aware that all we have won will not be enough, and we know that our movement will need to transform in order to build the power we need to WIN a real Green New Deal.

What are some things that are changing in Sunrise 2.0?

It may seem like the oil and gas industry still controls the purse strings — and the state of climate policy — on Capitol Hill. But when we reflect on where we started and how far we've come, it's clear: Climate change is finally a top issue in American politics. And the Green New Deal is now a household name — a transformative policy framework that has inspired thousands of activists across the country to organize.

The challenge ahead of us now is to actually pass the Green New Deal and the policies we need to stop and possibly reverse climate change. And to win, we need a different strategy, story, structure, and culture at Sunrise.

How are you developing Sunrise 2.0?

This reinvention of Sunrise's DNA goes through a process called "frontloading" which gathers learnings from the movement to create a new foundation. The frontloading team truly looks like the movement we know we need to build if we're going to win: majority BIPOC, majority working class, from small towns as well as big cities. The youngest member is 16! Since last fall, they have been working to develop a new draft of the DNA that they believe will serve Sunrise well in the next four to five years.

Part of this new DNA includes supporting our local hubs to fight for Green New Deal legislation on the state and local levels to help lay the groundwork for winning at the federal level in the years to come. Marriage equality, marijuana legalization, and raise the minimum wage movements have adopted the same kind of state-to-federal strategy.

Both staff and volunteers are revising the plan and going through a feedback process with the movement. Sunrise members will vote on whether to ratify the Sunrise 2.0 next year. While strategy and structure may be changing, Sunrise 2.0 will continue advocating for the Green New Deal, electing more GND champions, and building on the goal of passing a climate agenda that meets the moment of the climate crisis.

How can I help usher in Sunrise 2.0?

In January, movement leaders will sit down and analyze the budget, our organizational capacity, and the frontloading plan. They'll have to make tough decisions about what Sunrise can and cannot take on and how bold and ambitious we can be.

Simply put: How much money we raise at the end of this year will determine how much we can take on. That's why supporters like you, giving what you can to invest in this work, are so important.

In solidarity,

All of us at Sunrise

Fwd: Who’s pulling the strings? The Monopoly behind the insanity…

If you're wondering how the entire media is being controlled… blocking all "c0v!d" emails

And why everyone seems to be "falling into place" instead of speaking up about the utter nonsense that's happening around us…

And if you're completely confused as to why it's been so easy for "the powers that be" to take away our freedoms and our rights…

Then you need to watch this video that exposes exactly WHO'S PULLING THE STRINGS.

This isn't a conspiracy theory. It's not even a mystery. Anyone can do the research and see the truth for themselves…

Please, watch this video. Then, share it…

Because it explains so much about where we are today, and unless something major changes?

Things are only going to get worse in the future.

To your health and freedom,

joyous Christmas in whatever way it holds Gratitude

Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas in whatever way it holds meaning. There will be many families who feel the happiness of a special present under the tree. Let us take a moment to send our love to the many who awaken without someone who mattered. To those who suffer alone. To those who wish to be free who are not.

There is a great story for me in this picture. It is the joy of remembering the gifts we forgot we had. Gratitude is that spark in our heart that reminds us. Many of us live the cliche of not knowing what we have until we lose it. It is easy to be complacent and take so much for granted. In an instant we are left wishing we had said this or that. We need not wait to ignite our awareness of the countless blessings of our life. The whispers of our soul can be heard while we savor this feast deeply.

However, our attention must rest on what we have rather than what we don't. Gratitude for the many places in ourselves that we can claim with appreciation. We are an extraordinary mosaic with many parts that glisten with love. We must allow ourselves to remember these. Those we may see today share the same truth. Let us pause and steep in our remembrance of the gift they are in our lives. Share this voice.

We can bring the light of noticing all that we are and have in our life. It requires us to simply write a daily story of remembering. Whether we are connecting through a virtual window or across the room, we can touch each moment with gratitude. This tree of life has so many gifts underneath it. It is my deepest wish that each of us can see all that matters. For a time today, allow your disappointments to be suspended.

May the open arms of our heart embrace the miracles of this day.

They are unfolding in every moment.
