Preserving my family's heritage:
I have thousands of family pictures dating from 1918-present, some in photo albums, most in boxes. Being quarantined over the past 2 years allot time to sort through most of the pictures. Now the goal is digitized them to share with the rest of the family. It cost about 7 cents per photo, estimating cost about $ 1,400, and a good photo scanning is about $700.00. Cost wise it would best to purchase the scanning, which would give me more control over printing process. I really do not want to purchase another photo scanning, just for this one major project. I have a very antiquated one that's about 12 years old that each picture requires that the lid has to lifted.
Wondering if anyone out in the TB Universe residing in St. Petersburg would happen to have a high-tech state- of-the- art photo scanner to lend out for TB credit with possible monetary appreciation: The Plustek Photo Scanner can easily scan your photos quickly with this scanner.
The 300 dpi and 600 dpi resolution options aren't the highest available, but it does allow you to store and scan photos more quickly. The software included also has plenty of options for retouching and sharpening older photos. In short, if you need something relatively affordable, that scans easily and lets you edit easily, this is a pretty good choice.
OR, the Canon ImageFormula RS40 Scanner, which is compatible with a wide range of operating systems.
This scanner can handle a range of photo sizes, has a great 1200 dpi resolution, and allows you to scan quickly with an automatic feeder. With up to 30 pages per minute of color photo scanning, you'll be able to quickly digitize your backlog of physical photos.

A loved one of hers has been in the hospital for weeks, they have multiple dogs, and need some help getting things back to normal.
I'd like to gift her with a good, thorough cleaning.
I'll happily give an hour time credit for a referral to a cleaner/service who will do a good job cleaning all surfaces, etc.

As part of my Capitalism Survival Strategies presentation, I developed a visualization exercise to help people envision what their lives might be like in a post-capitalism world – whatever that might mean to them.
Most recently I led people through that visualization at the end of an online talk I gave to a Creative Mornings Field Trips audience, which was recorded. I've cut out just the visualization segment and posted it on YouTube.
Of course in my own ideal post-capitalist reality time banking and the gift economy play a leading role.
I'd love to offer you time bank credits for any or all of the following:
1) watching the video and actively engaging in the visualization exercise (whatever that looks like for you – just thinking about your answers, actively writing them down or journaling about it, etc)
2) liking, commenting on, and/or sharing this video with someone else you think would appreciate it
An additional question I've thought of since leading that talk that I wish I had included at the end is -

We are seeking someone to help us fill our water tanks at the Deuces Food Forest.
We need someone with a pickup truck to fill up our 275 gallon IBC tote at our water spigot one block away, then drive over to the food forest and fill the stationary IBC tote from the tote in the truck using our large hose. We have two totes to fill. It takes one hour to fill a tote from the hose in the truck, so that's 2 hours of sitting there as the water fills (bring a book and read or get some work done).
It's about a 3 hour job and we'll pay $20/hour. We need it done this week ~Wednesday April 26th and once per week for the next month.
