Fwd: Tired of Political Nonsense? Read This First:
Reply-To: Patchman <contact@spiritstudios.com>
What Makes a Leader "True" & "Wise"?
Good morning Rafe,
I hope you're well!
Now, not to get political by any sense…
But as the US is getting ready for midterm elections this month…
It's stirring up a lot of fear in the consiousness fields once more regarding political violence and 'disinformation.'
(Some even dubbed Elon Musk buying Twitter as a political move to spread 'fake news'.)
But amidst the chaos of pointing fingers and "he-said-she-said"…
We do our best to stand at the center, the heart of it all.
We ask: how can you tell between a leader who is true and wise…
And a leader who is not?
It might seem obvious at first, when you pay attention to how one leader treats his "opponent."
But when we look to the Tao Te Ching, which was once a leader's handbook for wisdom and harmony…
We start to see it's not about one leader's relationship with the "other" leader—
It's about a leader's relationship with the people he serves.
Think about it…
When elections come up, we're conditioned to focus on politicians tearing each other apart to prove who's "best"— like a fight or game.
But where do YOU stand in all that?
How are YOU being served, supported, and guided?
Perhaps Verse 17 of the Tao Te Ching can be a beacon of clarity for us all…The Wisest Leaders
The wisest leaders among humanity are barely known.
Next comes those who are loved and praised,
next are those whom people fear,
and next after that, those who are despised. If leaders are not trusting, then trust cannot be placed in them.
But those leaders who are calm, thoughtfully valuing their words,
accomplishing their tasks and settling their matters,
their people will say: "We did it ourselves naturally!"So you see, it's not really about what one leader says about the other.
It's about how he or she shows up for the people.
The best leaders are the ones who allow their people to live naturally…
How many politicians are actually doing that though, hmm? π€
Going even deeper, our Aquarian Age Edition of The Tao Te Ching also encourages us all
To be the Leaders we want to see in the world.
Maybe that starts with meditating on this verse before you vote,
So you can step into the booth with newfound clarity, confidence, and compassion.
